shorting IYT and adding WGP, currently +50% on existing position

On this day let us give deepest thanks for those who have made sacrifices for our freedoms. Let us ponder which wars are necessary and which are frauds, and let us think about the past and how to avoid repeating past mistakes in the future.

Let us also consider how to repeat past successes.

On September 23 of this year, in an entry entitled "selling DCS +6%, ADI +16%, DNT +48%, AVL +22%, SU +1%, OK +31%, RSG +67% and shorting RATE, buying WGP, and accumulating KWPW" we announced buying Western Geo Power (WGP in Canada) at $0.26

Friday the stock closed at $0.39 for a quick 50% gain so far. Added to the gains realized in recent postings here, especially given the poor general markets, we count ourselves very fortunate and seek to repeat the actions that led us to this good fortune.

The WGP chart appears very bullish, we read of insider buying, and the news is good, so we add to our position in WGP at $0.39

So too in our posting on September 23 referenced above we mentioned accumulating shares in KWPW. Friday it closed at its all-time highest close, a very bullish sign, and in our experience there is seldom a better time to add to or enter a position. We may continue adding to our holdings.

We remain long-term gold, silver, and alternative energy bulls and US housing, banking and dollar bears. Our current short-term outlook is for a US dollar and market bounce, and a slide in precious metals, before the long-term trends resume. We expect in due time the Dow Industrials will signal a "Dow Theory" bear market by confirming the move to fresh lows for the year as seen in the Dow Transports recently.

Thus we short IYT (last at $82.42) via the purchase of June 2008 $80 puts, last traded at $5.60 A preferable entry in this trade would present itself should IYT bounce to near $85 or even $90 If so, we shall add to our effective short at that time.

selling SAN +42% in 1 week, selling PGR for break-even.

We wanted to sell last night, but thought we'd get another day's gain. Not the case, so we sell SAN now for a 42% gain in only 1 week.

Our speculative side desires to repurchase Red Hill, which we sold for 91% gains last week and it has dropped almost 25% since then, but we hope to reconsider it at lower prices.

We also sell PGR which we bought last December and it went well against us but recently had a meteoric rise to the break-even point. We held as we were bullish of its long-term prospects, but the markets are volatile and we do not wish additional long exposure after the good fortune of having this stock triple in price this month.

These shares all trade on the Venture Exchange in Canada.

We remain bullish on our calls listed in the posting dated Septeber 23 2007.

We remain long-term gold, silver, and uranium bulls and US housing, banking and dollar bears.
