Tesla Removes FSD Option, Slashes Prices

We recently reported on the controversy surrounding Tesla's make-believe, arguably fraudulent, FSD (full self-driving) feature.

Today FSD has been removed from the ordering options on the company's website.

Electrek is, in our opinion, a shameless online Tesla hype rag and proxy disseminator of company-fed hype (arguably in contravention of securities laws) masquerading as an independent news site dedicated to electric vehicles in general.  Yet even they are slowly turning against the company, as are many in the cult of Teslemmings.

Electrek: Tesla removes ‘Full Self-Driving Capability’ package from its options due to ‘confusion’

CEO Elon Musk said that the ‘Full Self-Driving Capability’ package was creating too much “confusion”.

Customers were perhaps becoming confused about why they had paid long ago for something that doesn't even exist and likely never will exist.

This was almost two years ago, in response to Electrek's Tom Randall:

It's highly likely the authorities stepped in to cease this selling of vaporware.

Now we must ask if the gullible rubes who paid for this "feature" will be refunded, and if so where will Tesla get the funds to do so?

In other Tesla news today, they're now marketing a "medium range" version of their unpopular AWD Model 3 at a lower price point, as well as having slashed costs for some options in a desperate move.

Here's the deceptive, probably illegal in many jurisdictions, order page:

Why would an electric vehicle need gas?  What if someone trades-in another electric vehicle which uses no gasoline, like one of the many extremely problem-prone Teslas that take months to repair?

@Trumpery45: Scroll alllll the way up to witness the full glory.

Further, what if the car is not delivered before the massive and immoral taxpayer-funded subsidies that Musk's companies have essentially exploited to survive run out before delivery?

Most government (taxpayer-funded) "rebates" for Tesla cars expire or decrease significantly at the end of the year.

Think of it as an intelligence test:

A burger costs you $10.

After eating a burger you no longer need a pizza, which costs $20.

Price of the burger after savings is -$10 (negative $10).

You ate well and made a profit!

True or false?

Considering the ridiculous logic-defying and arguably illegal attempts to sell these cars, in addition to Musk's profile pic as seen in the possibly dooming Twitter post above, we're reminded of this brilliant lyric:

"Y'all think when this is all over we'll just sit back an' laugh?  Well I don't think so friend 'cuz I done the math." - 16 Horsepower

We are short Tesla, 'cuz we done the math and believe that auditors, creditors, federal authorities or hopefully all three are doing the math too.
